Jerusalem Chief Ashkenazi Rabbi HaGaon HaRav Aryeh Stern Shlita on Monday, 13 Cheshvan, was among the notables taking part in the chanukas habayis of the newly-renovated and enlarged Knesset shul. Jerusalem Chief Sephardi Rabbi HaGaon HaRav Shlomo Amar Shlita also participated in the event. Also present was Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein, Minister of Agriculture Uri Ariel, and a number of other MKs, ministers and invited officials.
In his remarks during the event, Rabbi Stern stated all laws passed in Knesset should be in line with halacha, and as there is an attorney general and an advisor on matters of environmental affairs, there is an obligation to have bills checked from a halachic perspective before passing them into law.
