A 7-year-old boy sustained serious head injuries when struck by a vehicle on Bar Ilan Street in Yerushalayim, near the corner of Yifei Nof Street.

EMTs and paramedics of Magen David Adom and United Hatzalah operated on the scene. The child was transported in a MDA paramedic ambulance to the trauma center of Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, listed in serious condition.

Police accident investigators operated on the scene. The driver of the vehicle which struck the boy was detained for questioning by police.

Officials in the Hadassah trauma center reported the child’s condition as moderate/stable, stressing his condition is not life-threatening. He is admitted to a pediatric intensive care unit.
