Due to issues with the packaging of bottles of Acamoli Forte produced by the Teva Company, the company has announced a recall. According to the media release, there may be a slight leak from the bottles cap, prompting the voluntary recall. Company officials stress the recall is simply due to the possible leak and it has nothing to do with the integrity of the syrup.
Consumers may return the product to stores and receive a credit or another.
Acamoli is paracetamol, a medicine to reduce fever and pain, found in many if not most Israeli homes. It can be used from birth and can be purchased without a prescription. It is a non-narcotic painkiller suitable for children and adults for the relief of mild pain and fever reduction.
Teva Pharmaceuticals explains the recall is voluntary as part of its ongoing efforts to maintain its high standard.
