It took a day and a half after his election win for Donald Trump to return to Twitter.
In the final days of the campaign, the New York Times reported that his staff kept Trump away from his favorite social media forum.
Trump seemed to have reclaimed control of his cell phone on Thursday evening, sending out two tweets as President-elect:
“A fantastic day in D.C. Met with President Obama for first time. Really good meeting, great chemistry. Melania liked Mrs. O a lot!”
“Just had a very open and successful presidential election. Now professional protesters, incited by the media, are protesting. Very unfair!”
Trump, an avid user of Twitter, often used the social media platform to attack his political opponents and harshest critics.
As of early Wednesday, Trump’s Twitter account also looked a bit different —His profile now identifies him as “president-elect of the United States.”

I love this man
nothing wrong with him tweeting. he can not rely on the mainstream media to disseminate the news since they have proven over this last presidential campaign that they can not be trusted. so he has no choice but to resort to tweeting to get the news out. simply put, the mainstream media are a bunch of liars and they slant the news the way they want the general public to understand. president trump is absolutely right. it is “very unfair”. unless they become objective reporters, trump is going to have one lousy relationship with them for the next 4 years. oh, do i miss water cronkite! remember him?…and i firmly believe that the protesters were incited by the media.
these ppl r nut jobs i will protest for trump imyh
