VP Biden: 9/11 Military Tribunal Still An Option

Vice President Joe Biden says a military tribunal for the September 11th terror suspects hasn’t been ruled out.

Biden says he has no doubts the self-professed mastermind of the 2001 attacks, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, will be found guilty.

However, the vice president says it’s not clear yet where Mohammed and the four other suspects will be tried.

Appearing on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Biden says Mohammed will answer for his admitted crimes.

“This is the discussion taking place. The decision will be made by the president. He will be held accountable. A military tribunal is available. It is the less preferable way to go, but one way or another he will be held accountable,” said Biden.

Attorney General Eric Holder announced last year the suspects would be tried in federal court in Lower Manhattan.

Both city officials and residents have opposed the idea, because of security and logistical concerns.
