Two NYPD Sergeants were shot in a police-involved shooting in the Bronx Friday. Tragically, one of them has passed away from his injuries.

The incident happened on Noble Avenue at Bronx River Avenue in the Van Nest section.

The officers were rushed to Jacobi Medical Center.

The suspect was shot and killed.

Officers were responding to either a burglary or a home invasion at the time, but the circumstances of the shooting are unknown. There was some sort of a car accident involved, with the police vehicle on the sidewalk and what appears to be the suspect’s vehicle crashed into some construction equipment.
