Win or lose, Republican nominee Donald Trump will spend election night in the city where his campaign began: New York City.
The Trump campaign announced in a statement Wednesday night that Trump and running mate Mike Pence will hold an election night “Victory Party” at the New York Hilton Midtown, just a few blocks from the nominee’s own Trump Tower, where he officially announced his candidacy June 16, 2015.
The statement says the event will be “invitation-only” and “for friends and supporters of the Trump-Pence campaign.”
Trump’s event will run concurrently with opponent Hillary Clinton’s own New York City celebration at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center on the West Side of Manhattan. Clinton’s campaign sent out a “save the date” to offices on Capitol Hill on Oct. 26.
