HaGaon HaRav Bentzion Mutzafi Shlita, a senior posek in the Sephardi community, has not been feeling well since Rosh Hashanah. The rav explained during a shiur that his condition has been on the decline for over a month and as a result, he has curtailed his schedule including shiurim and he has limited leaving his home.

At the end of last week during a shiur, the rav announced with tears in his eyes “The medical decline has stopped”. He continued “First of all I thank HKBH who have given me the strength to come” to the shiur, the first in a period of time. He explained he lost his strength around Rosh Hashanah, which he attributes to many transgressions (בעוונות הרבים), announcing his heart was not well but now, because of Am Yisrael’s tefilos, his condition has improved. The rav added “the doctors will determine what is next and with Hashem’s assistance things will continue improving”.

The rav asked talmidim to forgive him for being unavailable during the yomim tovim and for not giving them brachos, reassuring them they were never out of his mind.

The tzibur is asked to continue being mispallel for Bentzion ben Tova.
