Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced Wednesday evening that New York City public schools will reopen on time Thursday following the major snow storm that forced officials to shut down the school system.
The NYC Archdiocese also announced its schools will resume classes as well.
The closing of schools meant giving the city’s 1.1 million students the day off Wednesday — just the third snow day in nine years.
