In an interview with the Arab-language Jerusalem-based al-Quds newspaper, Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman explained that Israel would be willing to end the siege on Gaza if Hamas halts its digging of tunnels into Israel and agrees to disarm.
He once again spoke of investment into a new seaport, airport and new industrial zones to provide employment. He told the paper that Ham as must halt all tunnel activity, disarm and stop firing rockets and in exchange, Israel would end the siege as well as undertaking the building of the airport and seaport.
He ended with a warning, that the next round of warfare with Israel would be Hamas’ last because Israel will eradicate Hamas if compelled to fight again.
