Tens of thousands of mispallalim were on hand on Wednesday, the second day of chol hamoed Sukkos in Eretz Yisrael for Birchas Kohanim at the Kosel. The first bracha was during repetition of shachris Shmona Esrei at about 9:30AM followed by birchas kohanim of musaf at about 10:30AM. B’chasdei Hashem the event passed without incident.

The Birchas Kohanim tradition has been taking place for over forty years; initiated by HaRav HaChossid Rav Menachem Mendel Gefner ZT”L.
