Border police at the northern Jerusalem Kalandia Ckpt. on Monday morning apprehended an Arab male found to be concealing a commando knife. He admitted he was planning to perpetrate a stabbing attack.

Since January 1, 2010, 31 Arabs armed with knives were taken into custody. 12 of them admitted they were planning an attack. 9 of the knives were detected in vehicles and 10 on their bodies or inside took boxes. (The tally given by officials is somewhat confusing, but these were the numbers released).
