Jewish congresswoman wants special envoy

A Jewish congresswoman introduced a resolution urging the Bush administration to appoint a special envoy to the Middle East. “The days of intermittent attempts to solve the difficult issues between Israelis and Palestinians must come to an end,” Rep. Susan Davis (D-Calif.) wrote to colleagues earlier this week, asking them to sign on to a nonbinding resolution.

“The time to take diplomacy off the back-burner and into the forefront of American international efforts is now. A special envoy, with the mission of securing a lasting peace through negotiation, must be quickly dispatched to the region. Time is not on our side.”

The Bush administration has resisted special envoys until now, partly because it wants to pace the depth of its involvement according to the willingness of the parties to achieve peace.

  1. Ok now for a lesson…

Non-binding means the prez doesnt have to listen, which he BH wont.

This is such a typical self hating “jewish” lib. A special envoy wont help. It never has! This “conflict” goes back to Eysuv and Yaakov and its about time they realized that.
