A talmid yeshiva was R”L killed in a vehicular accident during the early morning hours of Monday, 8 Tishrei. The accident occurred on the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv Highway near the Latrun Interchange.
United Hatzalah Deputy Director Lazar Heiman reports “When we arrived at the scene we realized it was a serious accident involving a number of vehicles. A number of United Hatzalah volunteers who were in the area arrived first and began advanced life support on one victim who unfortunately was eventually pronounced dead at the scene. A number of other victims were also treated with some being in serious, moderate and light condition”.
Killed in the accident was Ashdod resident Aviad Almalel z”l, 19, a talmid yeshiva studying at Yeshivat Tiferet HaTalmid. The levaya was held on Monday morning in Ashdod. He was a son of Rav Michael Almalel, a well-known prominent rav in Rova 9 in Ashdod. He is survived by his parents and nine siblings.
Later on Monday is was announced a cousin of Aviad, Elisheva Hadad A”H from Bnei Brak, died of her injuries. They were heading to Yerushalayim together and she was critically wounded. She succumbed to her massive injuries a number of hours later. Levaya details to be announced.
Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital trauma unit received four victims of the accident including a 29-year-old female in very serious condition with a head injury, a 20-year-old female in light condition as well as an 18-year-old female and 55-year-old male in light condition.
The photo is that of Aviad. The tzibur is asked to be mispallel for Osnat bas Tziporah bsoch kol cholei am yisrael. She is the 29-year-old, a sister of the niftar who is in need of Rachmei Shomayim.
