Deputy Finance Minister (Shas) Itzik Cohen is credited with pushing through supplemental income payments for 3,000 of 4,500 avreichim who applied. The payment is scheduled for Thursday, 4 Tishrei.

It is reported that the Education Ministry approved the payments due to Cohen’s efforts, after it was determined that 3,000 of the applicants are eligible, meeting the criteria. Regarding the other 1,500, the probe into their applications continues and those deemed eligible will receive the money next month.
