Stop promoting this. If you put this then put belz too. And in same quantit. You are pushing my own to go by idolizing this
So let’s assume it was taken by a non-jew, it doesn’t show any davening just singing and dancing. I will assume that this was by the parts where it’s the minhag to sing.
What’s with this fixation on Uman? There were thousands of minyanim throughout the world.
A Gut Yur
Nice!!!!!!!!!!! Any other uman videos please put up
Beautiful!!!!!!! Any other uman videos put up
I don’t see any davening in this video
All I see is that someone told a guy to perform :ameru lakum” which is a issur drabbonon unless that dsnt apply im uman
What do you mean by “allegedly”? You sound like you’re not so sure you believe it. Motzei Rosh Hashanah and you’re already by choshed that a yid would take the video on Yom Tov? Not nice.
At what point during davening did they start singing this niggun (orech yomim, by Carlbach)? Where were they up to?
A goy did take the video I was there . I don’t get why someone would think a yid took it. Wouldn’t that be a little strange if a yid was taking a video and no one said anything to him? Also there is allot of davenin and a long musaf. What’s weing with singing on yom tov? And the carlebach song was sang by ein kitzva. Great minyan!!
Is this called Simchas Yom Tov? It doesn’t look like tefilla b’Yom Tov. Just a big party.
I cannot decipher if they are singing וכל מאמינים שהוא חי וקים? or קדיש שלם?
People need to understand that Hashem isn’t really going to ‘fall for it’ (kavayochol), and not scrutinise every single act/thought you’ve had the whole year, by just attaching yourself to a huge group of people on the day of judgement and singing ‘jewish’ nigunim non-stop with a big grin
Having Pachad Hadin would probably be much more ”appreciated”!
Just to point out that if you look closely you’ll see that the vast majority of those in attendance are not Breslovers. I have never been to Uman (nor ever plan to), but it seems to me that this is a Carlebach “Happy Minyan” and not a Breslov minyan.
I find it disgusting that a goy is brought in to film this. It is not the first year that this has been done and I wonder if there is any heter to do so or allow so.
This was right before kedusha at ein kitzvah
This is very beautiful — thank you for sharing it. Is it a busha if more people travel to Uman for R”H than to Yerushalayim or Tzefas or Chevron or Meron or Tzipori or Bnei Brak, or any other of our mekomose hakedoshim? If we can start a singing and dancing in these other places, will yiddin travel to Eretz Yisroel instead?
Davening??
Doesn’t look like the davening at any shul I’ve ever been to on the yamim noaraim…must be a very ehrliche group of daveners with half of them with no talesim and none of them with machzorim (so of course they know all the tefillos ba’l peh. With all respect, this video only perpetuates the stereotype many have of the “new age” spirituality event of dancing and singing (which is good and fine) but please don’t market this as “davening”. Hopefully, whatever they were doing, they should all return home safely and have a gut yur
As to whether the video was or wasn’t recorded by a yid on yom tov, does it really matter once the video is taken and is in the public domain? Is it assur to listen to a recording well AFTER the event if there is some shaylah if the recording MAY have been done on Shabbos/yom tov by a yid?
Based on the multiple camera angles, it seems that there were multiple cameras. At that rate, this video was not taken by a nonJew who happened to be passing by. Rather it was taken by someone (or more) who knew a thing or two about taking event videos. This was a planned video with multiple camera-men or one guy with mounted cameras who controlled them. Furthermore, one person was switching between cameras. It could have been one very talented person, but it had to have been with the consent of the Jews in charge.
In any event it seems that there was a violation of amira l’akum.
Ywn be should be ashamed with this word “”allegedly”” what do you think a yid took It on rosh hasuneh? !?!? And you have to post your chashushes publicly… lately your moral has fell so badly..
Beautiful video.
I think that the learned Rav at Scheiner’s Shul should be respected in his decision-making, especially if you’re just guessing that it’s wrong without really actually learning Shulchan Aruch.
The people without Tallises aren’t married. And during the hazzan’s repetition it is not necessary to use a siddur.
Also, by the way, I think that the gatheing in Uman for Rosh Hashana was established by R. Nachman himself, a great sage.
