In light of the likely destruction of Algerian Jewish cemeteries, HaGaon HaRav Aharon Yehuda Leib Shteinman Shlita has recently sent a letter to French President Francois Hollande asking him to intervene to save the cemetery.
France has funded and watched over cemeteries for 54 years as is required based on the agreement signed with Algeria in 1962. France has recently announced it will soon cease funding for the dozens of cemeteries in Algeria, with some being Jewish. The chareidi tzibur is working to prevent this, fearing this will lead to destruction.
Some reports state there may be dozens of Jewish cemeteries in Algeria today.

Someone should have translated it in french first before sending it to the Prime Minister of france NOT the president of France who is just a figure head.
The french tend to be picky about stuff being sent in french as opposed to any other language
