Jerusalem Police Chief Yoram Halevy has ordered blocking Sultan Suleiman Street in the Old City of Jerusalem following the latest stabbing attack near Herod’s Gate. The businesses along the street will be shut by police as well until the situation is reevaluated.

Police are continuing to probe the Monday morning stabbing attack in that area that left two policepersons seriously injured.

Sultan Suleiman Street runs the length of the Old City adjacent to Shar Shechem and Herod’s Gate (Shar Perachim).
