According to preliminary reports from the Benjamin Regional Council area of Shomron, near the community of Nachliel, IDF Civil Administration inspectors arrived on Tuesday and destroyed an unauthorized structure in the Givat Menachem outpost. Local residents explained the structure was a shul.

Unwilling to accept the governmental act, some individuals implemented Operation Price Tag, taking revenge by throwing rocks at passing Arab vehicles, smashing an unspecified number of windshields. The situation escalated and the Jews and Arabs were hurling rocks at one another. Reports indicate 3-4 Jews were injured, one listed in moderate condition, transported to Tel Hashomer Hospital in Tel Aviv.

IDF Civil Administration officials’ report the seforim inside the shul were gathered in a respectful fashion before the building was removed, giving the seforim to a rabbi in Nachliel.

Activists from the left-wing Peace Now organization released a statement, calling on the government to use an “iron fist” in dealing with “settlers implementing the Price Tag” policy.
