IDF officials’ report 2009 was a record-breaking regarding donations to the military for religious services. Donations included two shuls, 12 Sifrei Torah, libraries, tefillin, talleisim, funds for shiurim for soldiers and menorahs for Chanukah.
According to LIBI fundraising officials, donations to the IDF in 2009 earmarked for religious services amounted to 21.8% of all donations received.
