First Class Of AMIT Rehovot Pre-IDF Program Sees All 20 Graduates Qualify For The IAF

2 (1)The first class of AMIT Rehovot Pre-Army Technology Junior College Program recently saw all twenty of its graduates, currently doing their military service in the Israeli Air Force (IAF), qualify for certification as electronics and computer practical engineers. The program’s success – and the success of each and every student – is due to the successful collaboration among the Pre-Army program’s dedicated faculty, the AMIT Network, the Rehovot Municipality, the IAF and the Ministry of Education.

The two-year AMIT Rehovot Pre-Army Junior College program was established in order to enable students to combine vocational and technological training with religious studies, as well as engage in an empowerment program, in preparation for significant military service in the Israeli Air Force and their lives beyond. The program is now entering its third year with an enrollment of 80 students.

Founded in 1925, AMIT is the premier education network in Israel, serving more than 32,000 students each year in its 110 schools in 29 cities throughout Israel. AMIT enables students to reach their fullest potential and become productive members of Israeli society with the skills necessary to build a successful future.
