While Minister of Public Security Yitzchak Aharonovitch prohibited a PA function involving Arab MKs in the Ara area of the eastern capital, it appears the minister has backed down and is now permitting the conference to take place.

Balad MK Talab al-Sana used the event to take a jab at the minister and the judicial system, releasing a media statement that he and his colleagues are law-abiding and there are no plans to engage in any illegal activity and the decision to cancel the event was truly an example of trampling the law and basic rights of individuals.
