On 28 Tammuz, YWN-ISRAEL reported one-year-old Miriam Eidel bas Basya drowned in a bathtub in her Jerusalem home, in the Shmuel HaNavi neighborhood of the capital. She was transported a Hadassah Hospital in extremely critical condition. The infant was a great grandchild of HaGaon HaRav Aharon Yehuda Leib Shteinman Shlita.

It was reported before Shabbos that the child was niftar in the hospital. During the past two weeks, her parents and family remained at her bedside around-the-clock while police probed the incident to determine if the parents’ negligence contributed to the fatal incident.
