An El Al flight from Tel Aviv to Kiev, Ukraine made a successful emergency landing at Ben Gurion Airport on Thursday night, after flight crew discovered a rupture in the aircraft tire.
The “UP” plane, flown as an El Al subsidiary, was on its way to Kiev, Ukraine, when the incident occurred.
The plane, which was carrying 182 passengers, made the emergency landing around midnight local time.
Shortly after takeoff, the crew noticed a tire was damaged, and the decision was made to return due to the mechanical malfunction. The plane has since been circling over Israel to unload fuel.

It wasn’t as פשוט as the story posted here tells it: just a tad more complicating!
Their initial aircraft had technical difficulties and when the crew realized that the air conditioning system wasn’t functioning they had to disembark and board another aircraft. Then eppis another issue and again they had to change vessels and finally this one! Boy do they have to בענטש גומל and according to all שיטות! (I have a cousin on the flight!)
But ב”ה they landed safely in Kiev!
