Britain is going to amend its law in the coming week to prevent arrest warrants against senior Israeli officials, the UK Jewish Chronicle reports. According to the report, the law is going to be amended to avoid a repeat of recent embarrassing situations in which senior Israeli government officials are compelled to cancel a visit to the UK, fearing arrest.
One such case is opposition leader MK Tzipi Livni, who learned a warrant for her arrest was issued due to her role in Operation Cast Lead as a senior government minister in the Olmert administration.
