President Barack Obama is challenging leading Republicans to repudiate Donald Trump.
Obama says Trump’s criticism of a fallen Muslim-American soldier’s family is the latest evidence that the GOP presidential nominee isn’t ready to lead the country.
The president said Trump is unfit to be president and ‘he keeps on proving it’
Obama is also citing Trump’s misstatements on global crises.
At a news conference Tuesday, Obama noted that many leading Republicans in Congress have denounced various Trump statements.
But he asked why they are still endorsing him.
Obama said there has to be a point when people break with the party’s standard-bearer.
Otherwise, he said the denunciations are hollow.

Mr. President…you have now crossed a red line….
In respect for your office, many people have held back from criticizing you in the same fashion…but now even you have gone too far. Donald Trump may be a bit crude, but he is more aware of the key issues, as well as the implications of those issues, than you are. You are a president of many “firsts”. most notably…the first president to make a world apology tour and the first to refuse to clearly define the enemy. In your misguided reasoning process, you have opened the floodgates to refugees who have embedded among them avowed enemies and terrorists. Mr. President…most of us are fearful of the U.S.A. turning into France, Belgium or Germany. Aside from vicious terror attacks, these countries have lost track of thousands of refugees who would possibly fit the profile of a terrorist. You should be ashamed of yourself…demeaning the office of presidency by making it an open instrument of politics.
At least Trump was born in the United States…

To YWN readers considering voting for Donald Duck — think about this. If someone tells him that the government spends billions of dollars to pay for food, housing, education, healthcare, etc of many poor people he’ll say, “What?! Those pathetic failures are not what America is about. The first step towards making American great again is to stop supporting losers!” And in an instant, friends of ours that count on food stamps, rent subsidies, EITC, medicaid, etc, will see their lifelines dry up. This man is dangerous for us.
