A prison parole board will be rendering a decision regarding Rabbi Yoshiyahu Pinto, who is currently serving a one-year prison term as per the plea bargain agreement signed with the state.
On Thursday, 29 Tammuz, the Israel Prison Authority is expected to announce its decision in another high profile case, the request to wipe away a third from a seven-year prison term being served by former President Moshe Katsav.
The parole board is also expected to announce its decision pertaining to Rabbi Pinto as well, on Thursday.

A tzaddik in jail just because he gave a nice contribution to a secular police who came to his door asking the Rabbi for financial assistance. Several years later, instead of hakaros hatov, that police decided to throw stones at the Rabbi and accuse him of bribe. Although there were witnesses to the honesty of the Rabbi, the prosecution and secular court (which seems to be one and the same) preferred the lies of the police. Not surprising at all. They’d do anything to jail Rabbis.
Harav Pinto is a Tzadik!
