With coalition tensions flaring between the Likud and Bayit Yehudi parties, coalition chair MK David Biton announced on Monday 26 Tammuz that he is fed up with the coalition partnership with Bayit Yehudi.
Biton told Kol Chai Radio’s Mordechai Lavi “For a long period of time, Bennett continues to challenge Netanyahu in Likud. To tell you the truth, we, as members of Knesset, are tired of it. He has apparently forgotten that the Likud is 30 seats and we are not his hired hands…It is time for him to begin respecting Likud. I am telling you once and for all that MKs from Likud, with me at the helm, have had enough of this ritual. We are fed up and unwilling to continue…”

“He has apparently forgotten that the Likud is 30 seats”
Biton has apparently forgotten that Bayit Yehudi has enough seats to bring down the government and force new elections — and a poll just over a week ago had Likud losing 9 seats and Bayit Yehudi gaining 8.
