Members of the Darawshe family of Duma protested in Lod on Thursday 22 Tammuz.
Among their chants heard by participants were “with blood and fire Palestine will be redeemed” and “Ala Akbar”.
The protest was taking place outside a city courthouse as a hearing was taking place for Amiram Ben Uliel, who is charged with setting the fire in the PA (Palestinian Authority) village that claimed the lives of a number of members of the Darawshe family.
Police explained their gathering was illegal and they would be permitted to remain if they are quiet, which they did not wish to accept, possibly due to the sizable presence of the media.
