The Knesset on Monday passed a bill in a second and third reading, making it law, disqualifying terrorists from receiving burial rights. The bill addresses the Bituach Leumi Law, which to date provided residents with free burial. Now, anyone whose death is attributed to the perpetration of an act of terror will no longer receive the benefit.
The law was pushed by Minister of Welfare (Labor) Yitzchak Herzog and Likud MKs Danny Danon and Miri Regev.
