The Shomron Residents Committee has filed a libel suit against the daily Yisrael HaYom Newspaper for an article written by Moriah Shlomot, in which she alleges residents of the community of Avnei Chafetz have stolen Arab lands, land belonging to the nearby village of Shufa. The suit is being handled by attorney Nir Tzvi.

A second suit was filed against the daily Haaretz for an article run by Akiva Eldar depicting settlers in a bad light as well.
