The recent heat wave may have technically ended with yesterday’s high of 89, but with more hot weather in store this week the city is still offering plenty of ways to stay cool.

Beaches and outdoor pools are open today.

Lifeguards will be on duty at the beaches from 10 a.m. till 6 p.m., and at the pools from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

You can also get a sprinkler cap for a fire hydrant at your local firehouse if you are at least 18 years old and show ID.

Cooling centers will be also open again today around the five boroughs.
