Wednesday night, the eve of 15 Tammuz, marks the yahrzeit of the Ohr HaChaim HaKadosh.Tens of thousands of mispallalim are expected to visit the tziyun on Har HaZeisim during the night and all of Thursday.
A large police force took up position in the Har HaZeisim area during the afternoon hours on Wednesday and will remain during the yahrzeit to ensure persons coming to the tziyun are safe and not attacked by Arabs, which unfortunately occurs all too often.
