Two NYPD Narcotic Officers Struck By Their Own Bullets

NYPDH1.jpgTwo NYPD narcotics officers were injured on Tuesday night after opening fire during a chase in the Bronx. It happened around 8:00PM on Davidson Avenue near Fordham Road.

Police officials say the two officers were in pursuit of several suspects when a pit bull emerged from the group and started coming after them.

The officers then reportedly opened fire on the dog and were hit by their own bullets as they ricocheted off an unspecified surface.

Both officers were taken to Jacobi Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

An investigation is now underway.
