Once again, B’chasdei Hashem, another terrorist attack was thwarted, this time by police in the area of Shar Yaffo (Jaffa Gate) to Jerusalem’s Old City. The police stopped a car after determining the three PA (Palestinian Authority) Chevron residents inside appeared suspicious. They were found to be carrying knives and when questioned by police after being taken into custody, they admitted they were indeed planning a terrorist attack, to stab security officers or Jews.

Two similar instances occurred within a 24-hour period in proximity of the Machpelah in Chevron, and there has been a sharp increase in attempts to perpetrate attacks as numerous Arabs were apprehended at crossing points into the capital such as Kalandia of late.
