Rumors that have been circulating on Wednesday morning that Maran HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef Shlita was not feeling well and was hospitalized are Baruch Hashem untrue. A number of chareidi agencies reported the Rav was taken to hospital, but it appears this was not accurate.

Gabba’im explain they believe that the fact the Rav is checked by a physician once a month, due to his advanced age, seems to have sparked the latest rumor, since people may have heard the doctor is due to visit the Rav on Wednesday afternoon at 3:00pm.

The Rav’s aides explain that Baruch Hashem, the gadol hador continues his daily routine of learning and writing, and is in good health.
