Chareidim Concerned Over Relocating Dati Leumi Girl’s High School

charediThe dati leumi Tzviya Girl’s High School (Ulpana) in Bnei Brak has relocated to another building in Kiryat Herzog but it appears the battle is not ending any day soon as the chareidi residents of the area are unwilling to have the school in their community. A Kikar Shabbos News report states some residents feel the presence of the school is an affront to the tznius level maintained in their community.

Community rabbonim have signed a letter given to Mayor Chanoch Zeibert and Deputy Mayor Avraham Rubinstein not to permit the school to operate in the chareidi area fearing the spiritual damage that will result. The rabbonim add that making things worse, the girl’s high school is in proximity to a chareidi school.

Many residents are reportedly furious with City Hall, accusing the mayor and his staff of ignoring their requests to prevent the move, which is now a reality, albeit, a most unwanted one for them. These angry residents insist the presence of the school is an affront to their religious lifestyle, one that will not be tolerated for it will negatively impact their children, demanding City Hall take corrective action.

  1. Where was the school until now?

Why don’t they go to Kiryat Yovel or other neighborhoods where chareidim are unwelcome and constant conflicts against chareidim?

  2. I am waiting for Zionflag, gadolhador( reform rabbi undercover, and yagel libi to start trashing…

It’s better to stay uninvolved since most enlargements aren’t leshema…

  3. To No. 2

You get your wish….I’m sure you also believe in the rights of ALL children attending a religious school to be educated wherever they want. If your level of belief is so weak that even the sight of a yiddeshe girl (albeit not your level of frumkeit) will degrade your hashkafah and make you think lewd thoughts, than perhaps it is you who is in need of professional help. This should not be a source of tension…just let it be.

  4. Why is this never a problem in Brooklyn, only in eretz yisroel? Because only the tzioyni government pays any attention to these guys. If the goyim were in charge the school would be relocated there without any room for opposition.
