Three persons were detected crawling along the northern Gaza border fence on Friday night, resulting in soldiers from the Golani Brigade’s 51st Battalion opening fire, but the suspected terrorists continued, failing to heed to the warning shots. An IAF helicopter gunship then fired at the three, who were all killed.

Israeli reports indicate they found unspecified items on the scene pointing to the intentions of the eliminated terrorists, who were planning an attack. A fourth terrorist was injured and apparently escaped.

PA (Palestinian Authority) sources report the four were all unarmed civilians, all said to be in their 20s. The report from Hamas officials in Gaza adds they were construction workers seeking to sneak into Israel seeking employment.
