A Paterson police officer crashed while attempting to pull over a vehicle in neighboring Passaic.

The Paterson police car chased the other car around 4 a.m. Wednesday into Passaic. But it then hit another police cruiser — and crashed into the front of a business at the corner of Main Avenue and Van Houten.

One officer was treated for non life threatening injuries.

The wanted car continued eastbound onto Route 3. Clifton police spotted it and the driver was pulled over on Routes 1/9 in Jersey City.

The driver was taken into custody.

Paterson police originally attempted to pull the driver over near Main Street and 20th Avenue.
