A Facebook page “extremism in the Chief Rabbinate of Israel” has already been launched ahead of the protest scheduled to take place this week in Jerusalem.
According to the ITIM organization’s media release, the protest follows the Petach Tikvah Rabbinate’s decision not to accept a giyur performed by Rabbi Haskel Lookstein.
Promotions for the demonstration state “Following the rejection by a Rabbinic Court in Petah Tikvah of a convert of Rabbi Haskel Lookstein, a preeminent Orthodox rabbi in the United States, spiritual leader of Congregation Kehilath Jeshurun on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and principal of the Ramaz School, we will demonstrate against the extremist tendencies in the Israeli Chief Rabbinate in recent years and the particular disregard that its officials have increasingly shown to Diaspora rabbis”.
The demonstration will take place, subject to police approval on Wednesday 1 Rosh Chodesh Tammuz at 8:45AM at the corner of Yirmiyahu and HaTzvi Streets in Jerusalem – opposite the offices of the Chief Rabbinate.
In addition, there is an online petition expressing support for Rabbi Haskel Lookstein.

If Trump’s daughter is an example of converts Rabbi Lookstein performs then yes, the Rabbinical High Court’s decision is correct.
Secular Jews’ protests or even the Secular High Court’s interference should not alter the decision of the Rabbinical High Court.
Arye – What do you know about Trump’s daughter that might make her conversion questionable, other than the rabbi who performed it, which is what the article is about?
#2 The fact that she doesn’t dress like a Jewish woman should say enough about the one who converted her. Anyone joining the holy Jewish nation must conform to all the rules including tznius. Hair covering for a married Jewish woman is a matter of Halachah and so are the elbows, knees, collorbone and neckline which must be covered at all times.
