Tens of avreichim took part in a stormy protest, confronting police outside the IDF Yafeh Military Court where a proceeding was taking place against a talmid yeshiva who was arrested.
Police report that one’s basic right is to protest but they would not permit vandalism and law-breaking. As one can see in the video, the protest resulted in confrontations between avreichim and police and a number of people were taken into custody.
Police explain the protest was legal but when the confrontations began participants were instructed to disband and when the violence escalated, five arrests were made.

You can easily see at the beginning of the video, one of the so called “avreichim” attempting to hit the policeman or his horse with the sign he is carrying . Why the police allow these violent demonstrations is unclear because they only encourage similar violence the next time. Also, using tasers or stunning devices would be a safer strategy than wrestling with these out of control “avreichim”.
