The most anticipated 24-hour Charidy campaign ever is going on RIGHT NOW, as the communities of Monsey, Airmont, Chestnut Ridge, New Square and beyond are gearing up to show their support and appreciation for Chaveirim of Rockland.
After decades of service Chaveirim still reigns as the de facto emergency assistance resource to all these communities. The organization is driven by 107 selfless, dedicated volunteers, who are backed by a network of dispatchers, communications managers, search and rescue coordinators, and even law enforcement experts.
Now for the first time, Chaveirim is utilizing the ever-popular Charidy platform to shift all of Rockland County into GO! mode. This follows a successful weeks-long exercise to build awareness of Chaveirim’s broad range of services and its need for ongoing support from the community at large.
Response from the street has been overwhelming. Monsey’s Jewish families each have their own Chaveirim story. Even newcomers have a story to tell about how Chaveirim saved their day in a heroic way—within months of moving to the Monsey area. The fact remains that the community remains in debt to this remarkable organization.
Chaveirim’s goal with this Charidy campaign is to show the other side of the coin; just as Rockland cannot continue without Chaveirim, Chaveirim cannot keep up its good work without the generosity of Rockland’s Jews.
This makes its current rally cry, “GO! for Chaveirim”, the most answered ask in recent fundraising history. The moment the Charidy campaign went live, echoes of support and an outpouring of appreciation have vocalized the town.
The campaign will last only 24 hours, ending at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 29.
