8. I wonder what pinchas ben Eluzer would get today by the Torah hating Supreme Court. Had the masses of frum Jews in Jerusalem stopped all the gay parades this would not of happened. The only time a half million chareidim come out to protest is when their funding is cut.

16. There are different issues here. Capital punishment is only when 2 kosher witnesses give testimony in a duly constituted beis din. In any case, no beis din in the world today has the authority to do this (no semicha, lack of the Beis Hamikdash, etc.) So, what Schlisel did was a vigilante act that cannot possibly have any halachic sanction. This should not prevent us from loathing abominable behavior — just as Hashem does. The young woman who was stabbed was a bystander at the parade, something which is not a chiyuv misa (watching a parade).
    The contrast with Arab terrorists who have murdered Jews is a valid one. Marwan Barguti is serving several life sentences for having “ordered” terror hits; I don’t think he was sentenced for murder. By contrast, Arab murderers of Jews get off MUCH more lightly than Schlisel. BTW, #8 who wrote that the chareidim protested only when “their funding was cut” is waaaay off the mark, and should do better research before condemning from abroad an entire tzibbur who protest when the gedolei Torah tell them to.

17. You know how many years the Arabs who brutally killed two israel reserve soldiers who accidently turned into an Arab village. First the Arabs ripped out their hearts and displayed their bloody hands to the media. Then they threw them off their two story police station for the Arab mob to finish them off. They were out in ten years. Yes Ten years. The life of an israeli soldier is not worth much. The life of a toieva sinner is worth lifetime prison. How correct are the chareidi leaders to oppose joining such an army. The use you and abuse you. Now they are putting on trial an israeli soldier who shot an Arab terrorists. when a chareidi soldier pointed a gun at an Arab harassing him, he got 17 days in jail. When a secular police officer pulled a gun on chareidim,of course nothing happened. Double standard.

    Pinchas ben Elazar was acting according to a halachah he had heard directly from Moshe Rabbeinu, and killed two people who were unquestionably chayav misah, as he caught them in the act. You have to be VERY VERY careful with kana’us, otherwise your “mitzvah” can turn into a serious aveirah.

    He killed an innocent, girl, an innocent by-stander.
    Nothing to do with the parade at all.
    I agree with #14 – he should probably be in a mental inst.
