The new entrance to Modi’in Illit near Maccabim Junction will without a doubt make life more pleasant for many. The new entrance will connect the chareidi city with Highway 443, the Jerusalem – Modi’in Highway.
According to the Modi’in news website, the new entrance will connect the southern entrance to Matisyahu and pass via Oranim and Kfar Ruth and connect to 443 at a new interchange that will be constructed near Yair Pereg Jct. There will be two lanes in each direction on the new road as well as a bike path.
All the approvals have been given but there is no timetable announced for the work and completion of the new entrance. When completed it will bring significant relief as today, there is much congestion at the only entrance which hooks into Route 446.
