The alertness of security forces manning the Atarot Checkpoint near Kalandia, on the northern border of the capital, prevented a major terror attack in Yerushalayim.

Soldiers suspected two Arab males, ordering them to undress to permit an inspection, revealing they were carrying two pipe bombs, which authorities reported later in the day they admitted were planned for an attack in a Jerusalem neighborhood on Wednesday.

B’chasdei Hashem the attack(s) was prevented and the suspects are in custody.
