Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked has announced that beginning this week, the national flag and state symbol must appear in the nation’s Islamic courts in line with the Flag Law of 1949. This has not been the case to date.
Shaked explained the national flag and state symbol are significant and must appear in all state institutions including Jewish, Muslim and others.
In a related matter, Shaked this week signed off on the process to appoint additional judges to the nation’s Islamic courts including a woman. This in addition to seven appointments made a few months ago. The minister next week is also expected to sign an order permitting the opening of an Islamic court in Sakhnin. Shaked hopes to bring the number of Muslim religious justices from ten to twenty-two.

Certainly makes sense.
I could see what would happen if a Muslim funded court in USA refused to display the American flag….
