Deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman announced on Monday he is moving to have the control of the decision-making policy regarding placement of CAT and MRI scanners, a decision currently under the jurisdiction of the treasury.

The deputy minister, who maintains ministerial authority, stated the decision as to which medical facility receives the advanced diagnostic equipment should be left in the hands of the Health Ministry and he is working to make this the new reality.
