Just as household heads are wondering just how to find the money to heat this winter, with energy costs in Eretz Yisrael being quite high in proportion to the average salary, Israel Electric Company announced the Public Utilities Authority approved a 3.5% rate hike for private consumers, beginning on Sunday, December 13th.

Officials add this is a regular semi-annual price adjustment, due to an increase in the cost of fuel.
