DM Lieberman Promises Words Alone Will Not Suffice Here

1Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman on Thursday 3 Sivan visited the Benedict Café in the Sarona Market Complex in Tel Aviv. This was the site of the Palestinian shooting attack on Wednesday night that claimed the lives of four people and left 16 wounded.

Lieberman arrived on Thursday and sat down for coffee with other patrons.

During recent months, prior to being appointed Defense Minister, Lieberman was a vocal critic of the cabinet and now, he faces his first attack in the senior cabinet post. Many are watching to see what measures he will be taking in response to the fatal attack. He has stated that he does not plan to let the attack pass “with words alone”, signaling he plans to take action.

He told patrons “I have come to salute Tel Avivians which have been hit with a difficult attack and it is not easy to resume our regular routine. I don’t plan on detailing the measures that will be taken but I can say I don’t plan to make due with words alone”.
