MK Yair Lapid, who heads the Yesh Atid opposition party, is calling on the government to deport the families of the two Dura Village terrorists responsible for the murderous shooting attack in Tel Aviv’s Sarona Market on Thursday, 2 Sivan. Four people were killed and 16 injured in the attack.
Using Facebook to get his message out, he explained “In the face of evil, there is no coalition and opposition”, citing the bill in Knesset that would permit the government to expel the families of the terrorists. That bill, which is initiated by Minister (Likud) Yisrael Katz is backed by David Biton (Likud) as well as Yaakov Peri and Lapid of the Yesh Atid party.
Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz is calling for harsh measures in response, for he feels the response must also serve as a deterrence towards preventing future attacks.
